Defination

Computer cannot understand our language. These are two type of language.

        1.  Low Level Language 

        2. High Level Language 

Low Level Language

A low level language is a type of programming language that contains basic instructions recognized by a computer. These are two types of low level language.

         1. Machine Language

         2. Assembly Language

Machine Language

It depends on 0 or 1 which called binary numbers. Computer can understand only machine code. 

Assembly Language

Assembly language is one step closer to high

level language than machine language.

High Level Language

The language understand by the user and computer both is called high level language.

Ex- C, C++, JAVA

Defination of hardware

Parts of computer inside and outside called hardware. We can touch these parts.

Ex- Input device, output device, CPU etc.

Defination of software

Selection of computer program and files are called

software. We cannot touch those parts. 

Software are divided into three types. 

                      

         1. System software

         2. Application software

         3. Utility software 

System software

These software used to solve common problems.

Note - If system software not available in your computer. Computer cannot work proper.

Ex - Operating system, Device driver

Application software

These software is developed by user to solve any specific problems.

Ex- Bank management, Hotel management, MS Office, Coral draw, Photoshop, Tally etc.

Utility software

These  software are used to tasting and scanning.

Ex- Disk compression, Backup utilities, Disk cleaners, Anti virus, Drivers etc.

Introduction

In the current generation when a user switch on the a computer system then the first program which is loaded in the computer's memory is known as operating system. 

The name of the operating system is windows operating system.

This is called the master program of your computer system because it works as manager in your computer system, it manage all the important function of your computer system such as file management, memory management and drive management.

Today many different version of windows operation system have been developed such as windows 95, windows 98, windows 2000, windows xp, windows vista, windows 2008, windows 7 and windows 10.

Features of windows

Windows operating system is a malty user, malty tasking and malty programming operating system. It is called malty user because many user can work at a time on this operating system. It is called malty tasking because a user can do many work at the same.

This operating system provide a GUI (Graphical user Interface).

When a user switches on is operating system then after loading windows operating system.

The first screen which is display on the monitor screen is known as desktop.

The picture or image sow on the desktop is called the wallpaper or background of desktop.

Taskbar is the appear at the bottom of screen. Taskbar has to contain left side start button and 

right side time.
